As Spring is now upon us, most people think about the ending of school, April showers and May flowers. Makeup lovers on the other hand, think about the twice yearly Sephora VIB Sale! This blog post will be dedicated to sharing my reccommendations and all the essentials that you need for glowy, beautiful skin and makeup that is perfect for those hot summer days that are in our near future!
Recommendations:
- Sephora Collection Pearl Face Mask–$6
This mask is one of my very favorites and is ideal for all skin types! The pearl mask perfects and brightens with natural-origin pearl to create high luminosity and visibly minimize irregularities, according to Sephora’s website. When I used this mask, I notice that my skin looks brighter, healthier, and has a natural luminous glow. I use this sheet mask in the mornings before I apply makeup if I feel that my skin is looking dull and lackluster. I keep the mask on for 15-20 minutes and notice that once I remove it and massage the excess product into my skin that my skin looks renewed and full of life. For the price, it does not get much better than this!
2. Sephora Favorites: Power of the Petal–$38
Sephora comes out with value sets quite frequently that contain mini-sizes of some of the most popular and best selling skincare, haircare, or makeup items. Sephora will create themes, such as their popular “Lashtash” which will contain 12 mini sized popular mascaras. In this case, the kit they built is focused on a day-to-night skincare regimen. This kit addresses concerns of dryness, dullness and uneven texture, and fine lines and wrinkles. According to the Sephora website, after using the skincare products in this kit, skin will be left nourished, clear, radiant, and healthy-looking.
The kit contains some of my very favorite products and some products that I have been really interested in trying. The Fresh Black Tea Perfecting Mask is amazing for both clearing imperfections, creating luminous skin, and increasing hydration. The Drunk Elephant Sukari Babyfacial is something that I have never tried but I have heard incredible things about this mask.
This kit is perfectly priced and gives you the opportunity to try out some incredible and very pricey products. The kit enables you to try these pricey products and formulate your opinion on them before you splurge for the full size!
3. Tarte Color Splash Lipstick–$22
These Tarte lipsticks have to be my absolute favorite lipstick formula available at Sephora. The formula is hydrating but does not slip and slide around the lips. It does require reapplication but the lipstick fades well and does not crumble off the lips. The price is right, and the packaging is adorable!

4. Benefit Cosmetics: Super-Curling Savings! Rollerlash Mascara Set–$24
This kit is absolutely incredible. The Rollerlash mascara by Benefit is my very favorite (besides the L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara). In this kit you get a full size of the Rollerlash as well as a mini version. The kit itself is $24 dollars which is an incredible deal when you consider that the regular version of the mascara is $24 on its own and the mini size is $12, creating a $36 dollar value for ONLY $24.
5. MakeupForever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer in Mattifying–$37
With Summer almost upon us, it is important to start changing up our skincare and makeup routine due to the weather. While the Fall and Winter seasons are all about hydration in the cold, dry weather, Spring and Summer are all about mattifying to control oils and honestly, sweat, that is produced in excess during the hotter seasons and months. This MakeupForever mattifying primer is the best of them all. Personally, I love glowy, luminous skin but during the summer months this type of look can easily look greasy and sweaty rather than hydrated and healthy. Therefore, I recommend pairing this mattifying primer with a hydrating and/or luminous foundation!
6. Si By Giorgio Armani–$93 (3.4 oz)
The Sephora VIB sale is the perfect time to splurge on that perfume that you have been eyeing! I wholeheartedly recommend Si by Giorgio Armani for those Spring and Summer months. With notes of Pear, Freesia, and Amberwood, this is the perfect perfume for those hot summer months that is bright, graceful, and refined. This perfume is not only sophisticated and sexy but creates the illusion of class, without smelling like well, a grandma. It’s expensive but well worth the money!
7. Huda Beauty Obsessions Palette: Warm Brown–$27
This is an absolutely beautiful palette with warm toned eyeshadows that are perfect for bold, warm and colorful spring and summer makeup looks! The Huda Beauty palettes are stunning but pricey, with her full-size palettes running you $65. This palette while small, contains all the essential shades for creating a well rounded eye look. The small size of the palette makes it perfect to travel with during your summer getaway!
8. Becca: Iconics: Prime, Brighten and Glow Trio–$40
This set from Becca includes: The First Light Priming Filter, the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Opal, and the Under Eye Brightening Corrector. The kit is a great value and again, just like the Power of the Petal set, you get to try out some mini sizes of popular products before you commit to splurging for the full price.
This kit features my favorite primer, the First Light Priming Filter which according to the Sephora website is a hydrating, color-neutralizing primer that creates the look of healthy, even skin tone with a natural finish. I completely agree with this description of the product. For me, the primer evens out my skin tone while hydrating it, without making the skin oily or greasy over time. The primer also becomes tacky, creating the perfect canvas to apply foundation over!
9. Living Proof Dry Shampoo–$23
During the summer, our hair (and well everything else) gets super oily and greasy, quite easily. Dry Shampoo is our savior and this Living Proof Dry Shampoo is the best of them all. This Dry Shampoo actually cleans hair, eliminates oil, sweat, and odor. It is the perfect product for second or third day (post-shower) hair and it also gives some really nice volume once you rub it into the hair. It has a slight white cast at first but once you massage it into the scalp, it completely fades. Well worth the money!
10. Glam Glow: DreamDuo Overnight Transforming Treatment–$59
The GlamGlow: DreamDuo Overnight Transforming Treatment is my very favorite serum and moisturizing duo. According to the Sephora Website, this treatment is leaves the skin looking and feeling radiant, hydrated, prepped, and plumped.
The first step: the DreamSerum (pearl) is a melt-in face serum that infuses anti-aging antioxidants into the skin, while super charged essential vitamins support an even, flawless complexion.
The second step: the DreamSeal (gray) is a nourishing moisture boost of hyaluronic acid and mozuku green algae that plumps and recharges the skin’s glow.
I use these two products every single night and honestly, I see the difference every morning when I wake up. My skin looks plump, hydrated, and healthy. Additionally, it looks brightened, when I do not use this product before bed, I can tell that I have forgotten it in the morning. My skin looks less bright, and more dull and lackluster. This product has honestly changed my skincare game!
