Welcome back to TheLexiEdit!
Hello my fellow makeup lovers! Today, I am going to be sharing ALL of my many purchases from the month of July! I picked up so many amazing products this month and I cannot wait to share them with all of you! Let me know what your favorites are from this month, as well! XO!
1. Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Coral–$27.00
I am absolutely obsessed with this palette, which makes sense since these palettes are called the Obsessions eyeshadow palettes! This palette is totally up my ally and literally my dream palette. The second that I saw it on the Just Arrived page on Sephora, I immediately fell in love and purchased it immediately! I am absolutely in love with all of these pinky and yellowy type shades which are so me and so perfect for summer! Additionally, the shadows in these palettes are absolutely incredible! They are so easy to blend and so so pigmented and rich in color without being overwhelming!
2. Too Faced Peach Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss in Papa Don’t Peach–$19.00
So this is a repurchase for me! I actually lost this lip gloss and it is so amazing I went out and bought a new one! This lipgloss formula is one of my absolute favorites. It is so so pigmented without having that sticky feeling that most of us hate! The gloss is described as, a whipped peach lip oil with the shine of a gloss and the moisture of a lip balm. And that definitely rings true! It is definitely so hydrating, which your lips will thank you for!
3. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Psychedelic Sister–$20.00
This line of eyeliners are my absolute favorites. I usually use the shade Sabbath which is a deep matte navy which I love but I have been really into a purple eyeliner with my hazel eyes. Because of this I decided to pick up the shade Psychedelic Sister which is a bright purple cream and I have been absolutely loving it! These eyeliners and especially this eyeliner in Psychedelic sister are so creamy and pigmented and stay in the waterline all day long!
4. Makeup Revolution Flawless 3 Resurrection Palette–$15.00
I absolutely love this eyeshadow palette. I was walking down the aisles at Ulta the other day and came across the Makeup Revolution section. There was a huge array of palettes from this company. The price is amazing and what you get for such a cheap price is unbeatable. The shadows, especially the mattes, are so smooth and blendable. While the shimmers in this palette actually hold up pretty well. They hold up much better than the Makeup Revolution Newtrals 2 palette that I tried last month. Overall, I would say definitely go for this palette, which is very reminiscent of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette which would run you $42 versus $15 for the Makeup Revolution palette.
5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Ashton–$7.99 (at Marshalls)
I found this amazing lipstick from Anastasia Beverly Hills on my recent trip to Marshall’s with my boyfriend and his sister! I, of course, went immediately to the makeup section that they had at Marshall’s and found this liquid lipstick. They only had this shade and another very bright pink shade from Anastasia but I have been wanting to try this shade out for a while so I picked it up! It is definitely more of a darker brown than I thought it was but it looks absolutely beautiful and I definitely want to wear it for a night out when I want a bolder, more intense lip!
6. Becca First Light Priming Filter–$38.00
This primer is my holy grail favorite primer. I ran out of my second bottle of this primer so I had to pick up a new one! This is a natural finish primer that has smoothing and color/redness reducing properties. For me personally, this primer really preps and primes my facial skin for makeup very effectively. It provides a nice satin-like finish to my skin while also reducing redness. This primer does not make me overly oily, which I tend to be sensitive and prone to. Yet, to be completely honest, I do not notice my makeup lasting any longer with this primer. Although I find this primer to be worth the high price tag for the smooth, satin-like canvas it provides for applying makeup on top of.
1. Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum–$80.00
I am so obsessed with this Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum! I bought it on a whim and am absolutely in love with it. This product is sooooo expensive and my wallet is definitely not pleased with this purchase but I am! I have tried multiple Drunk Elephant products in the past and was very impressed by the results and this product definitely did not disappoint! This product brightens my skin like no other product ever has. It provides the perfect canvas for makeup! I have also noticed diminished dark spots and improved skin texture after using this incredible product!
2. Tony Moly Master Lab Mask in Intensive Brightening–$4.00
This mask is absolutely incredible! This mask made my makeup application after using it, absolutely flawless. My makeup just applied easier and more smoothly and my makeup looked just….better! And my skin!!!!! MY SKIN looked AMAZING! It looked literally the best it has ever looked before. Usually in the morning my skin looks dull and lackluster, especially if I forget to apply my GlamGlow DreamDuo the previous night before bed but with this mask, my skin literally glows but not in a greasy way. My skin glows in the most natural way and gives me a “lit from within” look to it! This is probably the most brightening mask that I have ever used before and for the price, you can’t do any better!
3. Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream–$44.00
I am newly obsessed with this night cream. I love it paired with the Tata Harper Resurfacing Serum (see review below)! The combination of this Origins Night Renewal Cream and the Tata Harper Resurfacing Serum has completely replaced my former holy grail serum and moisturizer, the GlamGlow Dream Duo which features a serum on one side of the jar and a moisturizer on the other. I feel like this Origins and Tata Harper combination makes my skin much more glowy, dewy and more hydrated than the GlamGlow DreamDuo does. When I use this Origins Night Renewal Cream I notice a visible difference the next morning. Additionally, I noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference when I forgot to use this moisturizer one night. I woke up and my skin was significantly more sallow and dull-looking. My skin did not have that beautiful natural glow luminosity nor did it look bright and clear, as it does when I use this cream. This cream is also a great bang for your buck! Also, this product does not make my skin so glowy, dewy, and hydrated to the point that my skin looks visibly oily! I have normal skin that is more on the oily side, especially during the summer months and this product works perfectly with my skin type. With that being said, I also think that individuals with dry skin or even combination skin would also be able to use this product and get that hydration that they need! Another reason why I love this product is because of the amount of product you get in one jar! You get 1.7 ounces or 50 ml of product which is a very large amount for the price! Overall, I would recommend this moisturizer to anyone and everyone! It is fabulous!
4. Tata Harper Resfuracing Serum–$88.00
The first time I used this product I used it with the Origins High-Potency Nigh-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream for the first time as well and I was SHOCKED by the results. I had gotten about an hour of sleep the night before because of a paper that I needed to read a book and write a paper on that I had put off for far too long! I put this on at the normal time that I would apply my serum and moisturizer at about 10:30pm and worked on my paper until about 6:30 am. When I got up from my “nap” at 8:00am to get ready for and go to my internship in the morning, I was blown away by how my skin looked. It looked so youthful and radiant and glowing despite the lack of sleep from the night before. I received this serum as a deluxe sample from Sephora on an order of sheet masks (see post on my favorite sheet masks coming soon!) and I am definitely going to purchase the (very expensive, eep!) full size version! The combo of the Tata Resurfacing Serum and the Origins High-Potency Nigh-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream has definitely replaced my GlamGlow DreamDuo nightly serum and moisturizer. You definitely get a lot more product for the money!
5. Dr. Jart+ Bright Lover Rubber Mask–$12.00
This mask, while expensive, definitely rivals my favorite brightening masks (the Tony Moly Master Lab Mask Up in Intensive Brightening is my all-time favorite)! But this mask is absolutely beautiful. You first apply the Step 01 Ampoule Pack which is a creamy moisturizer type product and then you apply the Step 02 Rubber Mask pouch. The rubber mask feels so cool and unique on the skin while also feeling cooling and very interesting on the skin. I definitely noticed a very significant illuminating and brightening effect to my skin! This mask also really diminished the look of my slight acne scarring and gave a smoothing affect to my skin, which I absolutely loved! Again, it is not as good as the Tony Moly Master Lab Mask and that mask is definitely less expensive but if you want to splurge for a very cool mask, this is the one for you!
What did you buy this month?! Have you tried any of my purchases?! If so, what do you think of them?! And what should I pick up in the month of August?!
